Hi! My name is Valerie. Since that is a difficult name to pronounce for Nepali’s, everyone knows me as Lilly.
In 2013 I set foot in Nepal for the first time, and I have been travelling back and forth ever since. It was love at first sight. I love spending days in the mountains and its small villages. I even enjoy eating Nepal’s #1 dish dal bhat. Twice a day, every day. Just like Nepali’s do! I consider myself very lucky that I found this beautiful country and its generous, humble people.
During one of our mountain treks in Dolpa, the most remote region of Nepal, Govinda and I started By Mountain People.
