Generally, the trips on our website are full board treks and hikes. These are including the night before and after the trek in a hotel, often in Kathmandu and/or Pokhara on Bed & Breakfast-plan.
However, our standard hotels are 3*-hotels. Do you prefer luxury hotels or full board plan in the city? Or have you found an other hotel you’d love to stay at? Booking a mountain trek? Hiring a porter can be a way to ease the trek for you. Especially if it is going to be your first trek, or if you are taking yourself to the next level with a higher altitude trek.
The porters of By Mountain People are people, so we do not let them carry them everything. We care about them, so that is why we have set a limited weight of 15 kilo per porter. This way we ensure that they don’t overburden their body. After trekking in the mighty Himalayas in the north, there are many other adventures to experience. For example, the deep jungles in the south. Nepal has two jungle national parks: Chitwan & Bardia. In the national parks you can find the endangered one-horned rhino’s, gharials, Bengal tigers, monkeys and 450 species of birds.
In the jungles, you can paddle down rivers in a wooden canoe, camp in a tree house, make guided jungle walks and visit breeding centers. However, please note that we do not organize elephant rides.
