About Chitwan National Park

In the 'other' Nepal, down in the humid plains, Chitwan is one of Asia's best wildlife-viewing spots and the place to head into the dawn mist in search of leopards, elephants, Bengal tigers, 450 species of birds, monkeys and the rare one-horned rhinos.

Chitwan National Park is a World Heritage listed reserve that protects 932 square kilometers of forests, marshland and rippling grassland, and is home to sizeable populations of wildlife. Meaning 'Heart of the Jungle', Chitwan is one of the best wildlife-viewing national parks in Asia.
