The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a walking journey into the Annapurna Sanctuary. As it is a natural amphitheater of the world’s highest Himalayan peaks. With this trek, you have the chance to visit beautiful high mountains in quite short time frame. Furthermore, you don’t climb very high. Still, you surround yourself with the high peaks of Annapurna and the spectacular glaciers.
The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of the classic trails in the famous Annapurna region. Our 10 days trek to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) offers you an easy walking journey into the Annapurna Sanctuary, a natural amphitheater of enclosed by world’s tallest Himalayas including Annapurna I (8091m) and Machhapuchhre (6993m).
Along the trail, you will be rewarded with sumptuous mountain views, colorful forests of rhododendron, oaks and bamboo and rare sights of wildlife on play. Our ultimate destination remains the majestic Annapurna Base Camp at the altitude of 4130m.
This isolated cirque of peaks can only be approached by one route, a deep gorge that carves into the fortress of mountains between Machhapuchhre and Hiunchuli. Many of the peaks are over 7000m, including the famous twin-peaked Machhapuchhre, as well as Annapurna I and III, Annapurna South, Gangapurna and Glacier Dome.
Looking for a trek during the summer? Then take a look at the wonderful 19-days Annapurna Circuit Trek. This route is in the “rain shadow”, on the other side of the Annapurna mountain range and excellent during off season.
If you prefer a quiet side route, then take a look at the 9-days Khopra Danda Trek. Here you’ll enjoy the stunning panorama views in a quiet and solitude matter.
