All about this trek

The Mohare Danda Trek is the perfect alternative if you want to enjoy the quiet and peaceful mountains. Most people don’t know this relatively new trekking trail yet. This route takes you through thick forests, via steep ridge trails and high pastures.

Mohare itself is a hilltop station, located along the world’s deepest gorge. Therefore, this trek provides you with the best panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.

How many days is this trekking to Mohare Danda?

This is a 7-day trek. However, you can customize this itinerary with us if you like.

Why should I trek to Mohare Danda?

Apart from the fantastic landscapes that you can see, you will directly support local communities during the Mohare Danda Trek. These are communities that generally miss the opportunity of doing business by being off the main trail.

What is the best time of the year for this trek?

Spring and autumn are the best seasons for this trek, considering the temperature at higher altitude, monsoon showers and snow fall.

Late spring and early autumn can be more cloudy, which may result to less mountain views. Early spring and late autumn can be cold, especially during the night and early morning. BUT, the skies can be more clear resulting in stunning mountain views. Be sure to bring a cozy sleeping bag and warm clothes to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Can I add a side trip?

Definitely! You can stitch this route together with the trek to Khopra Danda. AND, from there, you can even hike to the remote Khayer Lake (4,600 m / 15,091 ft). Sounds interesting? Take a look at our page about the trek to Khopra Danda. Then contact us for the possibilities, of combining the 2 routes in a way that suits you.

Can I customize the Mohare Danda Trek?

Of course! Actually, we encourage you to do so. Because that makes this trek unique and truly YOURS! Obviously, you don’t need to figure it all out by yourself. We are here for you. Do you want to speed up and make it extra challenging? Or, take it easy and slow? Just contact us, and let us know what you’d like to do.

We are looking forward to hearing from you.
